Survey... SAYS!

"...but sometimes I do feel frustrated by the general lameness of my life."

-one of my survey participants

Besides completely cracking me up, the above statement, I think, hit the nail on the head. I recently asked some moms to take a survey regarding their thoughts on "Motherhood and Creativity." I'm gathering this insight for the projects I happen to find myself obsessed with.

The paradox fascinates me: Motherhood, perhaps the most creative human act, can make it seem virtually impossible to be creative at all. So far, the survey tells me that I am not alone in feeling this contradiction. But, of course, I knew that already.

There is more for me to share, and I will eventually, but I couldn't hold that quote in any longer. Happy Monday... I hope it's not LAME.

and speaking of lame, did anyone catch that double "regarding" before I edited it? duh.

I participated in your survey. I have contradictory feelings towards creativity as a mom. I feel creative and want to be, but sometimes drawing like a child just isn't doing it for me. Then I realise, when I surrender, and just do it, marvelous things come into existence.

I have been called a "Mother..." a few times, but I don't think that qualifies me to take the survey.

Have a nice day. Bee A A A A Wee.

I came over from ILP and participated in your survey as well, and will be on the lookout for the results. :) It's an interesting topic that I think about often, too.

LOL Maestro!

Really great pic. I know, I say that every time -- but it's not lame, it's just always true :)

Haven't commented in ages. Neither have I posted but I think today is the day. You can read all about the reasons for my lack (of posting, that is) On your 12/31 post, I thought I noticed the cute little baby on the blanket that I crocheted sp? On 1/14 you had the pix of that gorgeous hat. AMAZING!!! What a talented being you are.

I did join the online knitting and crocheting website, but as you will notice on my post the problems I'm having. luv ROSEBUD

Re: Bandit. Yes, that is precisely why I have since cut her bangs. I absolutely could not let her resemble our old Shih-tzu any longer.

Re: Survey. I will discuss some results soon!

Re: Nutcase Nani Rose. In any event, all of your comments made me feel special--ooh, look I have lots of comments! :)
